Health Pavilion

The Health Pavilion is a special tent set up each Saturday to offer nutrition and healthy living ideas and demonstrations for the community. The Coastal Health District will be working with several partners to bring information for adults and activities for children each week to the Forsyth Farmers' Market.

Several Saturdays during the course of the market season, the Health Pavilion will host free health screenings, check out our calendar to see what is scheduled.

Each Saturday, as part of the kids activities, the Health Pavilion will highlight an in-season "Vegetable of the week." Kids will learn about that vegetable with fun activities like creating vegetable super-heroes and learning about fun, simple snacks. The Health Pavilion will also have simple physical activity for children like jump ropes and hula hoops.

For more information about the Health Pavilion or to learn how you can get involved please contact Christina Bolton at the Coastal Health Department: 912-664-5200 or clbolton@dhr.state.ga.us.

Community Connection

Each week, shoppers have the opportunity to share some great food with those in our community who may have a difficult time getting fresh, healthy food. Thanks to a partnership with Step-Up Savannah and Forsyth Farmers' Market shoppers the Savannah Local Food Collaborative will collect donated produce and deliver it to Stillwell Towers each week to help improve the healthy eating habits of the whole city.

Community Spotlight

Each week, the Forsyth Farmers' Market will reserve a spot at the market for a local non-profit organization to highlight the work they are doing in our community. If you would like to participate in this program please fill out our application.
